Sensitive skin Advice
Sensitive skin advice to help protect and care for the largest organ of our bodies ... our skin.
Treat skin allergies, acne, dermatitis,
rashes, breakouts, redness, dry and irritated skin and other skin
sensitivities the natural way. Reduce the amount of toxins and dangerous
chemicals being absorbed through your skin, into your body.
Skin Care The Natural Way
You've probably heard about the lifestyle choices that make a big
difference in the health of your skin, and your body overall:
- Drink plenty of water (i.e. about 1/4 gallon or 2 liters per
day)
- Eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day
- Get enough sleep (so your body can restore the level of oxygen
in your blood to renew your body's cells.)
- Avoid direct sunlight and overexposure to UV rays
Start a healthy, natural skin care regimen:
- Always wash your face at the end of the day rather than letting
cosmetics, bacteria, oil, dirt and other contaminates soak into your
pores. If you wear make-up, wash your face twice ... first to remove
the make-up and second to clean your skin.
- Exfoliate twice per week to remove dead skin cells. Make a paste
with a tablespoon of oatmeal and water. Gently massage the mixture
into your skin and rinse.
- Every time you exfoliate, follow with a facial mask to nourish
and hydrate your skin. A mashed banana makes for a wonderful mask.
Pamper your skin:
- Keep your skin hydrated as often as possible. Combine distilled
water and a few drops of chamomile essential oil in a spray bottle
and mist your face throughout the day. Shake the bottle gently prior
to each use.
Did you know? Chamomile oil calms dry irritated skin, redness, acne,
rashes, dermatitis, and other skin sensitivities and is a great
tissue regenerator.
- Stimulate blood flow throughout your body, thus providing oxygen
and nutrients to your skin, through daily exercise.
Tip: Alternate between hot and cold when you shower to improve
blood flow.
- Clean your system of the toxins partly responsible for problem
skin. Energize your body with this daily drink ... squeeze fresh
lemon juice into a glass of hot water .
